How to check your mouse polling rate

Prepare your mouse

Connect your mouse and keep the pointer over the test area.

Move the mouse in the test area

Move it continuously for several seconds. The test counts pointer events received by the browser while the pointer is over the area.

Review the Hz estimate

Compare the current, peak, and average active event rates. Browser event handling can differ from the mouse’s USB polling rate.
